Club Yicketty Yak is a speech and language therapy group for children to support them with their communication and literacy challenges. Club Yicketty Yak is developed and undertaken by qualified and experienced Speech Pathology professionals. The group aims to support children who are diagnosed with autism, down syndrome, hearing impairment, dyspraxia, phonological delays or disorders, articulation impairments, speech impairment, language delays or disorders, auditory processing impairment, dyslexia, dysgraphia, reading difficulties and writing difficulties. Held at Once Upon a Time Therapy. Optimal Communications. Gold Coast Speech Pathology clinic. Club Yicketty Yak-Getting Talking on Track is a 10 week speech therapy program held at the Once Upon a Time Therapy Centre in the CLUB HOUSE. The program runs in 3 hour morning sessions during the term and promotes development of :

  • listening & auditory processing skills
  • speech-articulations-awareness of speech sound production
  • understanding language-receptive vocabulary skills
  • expressive language skills
  • Social communication skills
  • Effective learning behaviour
  • Confidence and personal development
